Jeanette L. Schramm

Jeanette Lois Schramm, born April 18, 1935, in Toledo, Ohio, to Claudia (Burnham) and Earl Tapley, passed away at the age of 84 on January 4, 2020. A 1953 graduate of Libby High School, she married Marvin Schramm on May 5, 1956. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2019. Jean worked as a beautician until retiring in January 2000. In her early years, Jean volunteered with her church, with the Girl Scouts, and spent many years rescuing cats. She enjoyed her garden and spending time at their lake cottage. Jeanette loved her family and enjoyed remembering family and friends with cards and special gifts. Planning a surprise brought out the “elf” in her every time.
Jean was a loving mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Mark (Linda); daughters, Diane (Rusty) Irons and Debra (Kenneth-d.) Sear; brother Roger (Sandy) Tapley; grandchildren, ANdrew (Amanda), Heather, and Katelyn (Samuel) Bolds; and great-grandchildren, Ethen, Elie, Evan, Jacob and Phoebe. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John (Liz) Tapley; sister, Audrey Keifer. Her kids and grandkids will always remember her for her inquisitive mind, love for turtles sundaes, and talent at winning nearly every game she played.
